Giant Panda: Pathfinder Pendant
Solitude, Shyness, Tradition, Determination
Giant pandas are the rarest species of bears, native to the central mountains and bamboo forests of China.
Due to habitat loss and low birth rates, pandas remain an endangered species, dependent upon conservation efforts.
Giant pandas spend 10 - 16 hours a day foraging for and eating the 20 - 40 lbs. of bamboo shoots their diet requires.
At birth, a newborn panda cub weighs just 3 - 5 ounces, but by adulthood, it will weigh between 220 and 250 pounds.
